  13. About PtGen
  14. ===========

  16. PtGen is a prototype generator for Turbo Pascal 7.0 and Turbo Vision
  17. 2.0. It will let you build really quickly Turbo Vision screens including
  18. menubars, statuslines, dialog boxes and full helptext support. This is
  19. the real mode version of PtGen that will run even on a 512K 8088 PC with
  20. a MDA video card..

  23. How to avoid reading the manuals
  24. ================================
  25. Use the build in tutorial for a convenient introduction to working with
  26. PtGen. But the first chapters of the Users manual (PTG_USERS.DOC) are
  27. recommended.

  29. Note that you also need the file PTGCOM which includes the tutorials,
  30. docs, registration form etc.

  32. The online help is probably more up-to-date then the docs. Sorry...

  37. This version is again a public PtGen release. Presumably it is not
  38. without bugs though, but it should be more stable than the previous
  39. public beta.

  53. ==========
  54. * You should restart PtGen between the 2nd and 3rd tutorial. I know the
  55.   bug, but not its cause.
  56. * One user reporter a 201 error while working on a MenuItem. As this
  57.   release doesn't has error checking, this should not be a problem for
  58.   you...
